Rethinking resolutions
Right.

I know it's sort of cheating to just change your resolution halfway through, but I think somehow I'll deal. My resolution for this year was to write a thousand words a day, and while I was able to keep that up for January, during February it sort of... well, it died. I'm blaming TAFE, really, but whatever my excuses are it's become apparent to me that I just can't do it.

So the new resolution is to write two thousand words a week. (Watch that get changed to 1500, then 1000...) That'll start next week, which coincidentally is also the start of March. Let's see if I can keep this one up.

I think it's reasonable to change a resolution to something you think you'll actually be able to handle. *nods*

...As for my resolution, like you said, worked well in January, dying in February. So I have all of a day and an evening to finish the monthly story (but it's clearer in my head now, so the only obstacle is tomorrow being my brother's birthday).

But this is about your resolutions. Which I support. Yes. *waves pompoms* Go Tegan Go!

Oh, I support all rambling in comments here, and it's always good to get other perspectives. (Also, happy birthday to D, and I probably shouldn't have called him that, because it makes me think of Dieter.) And good luck with your monthly story!

I don't think it's cheating. But for some weird reason I write more at Tafe... procrastination go!

I don't have the kinds of classes where I can get away with that, for the most part. And the ones I do... well, I want to do the work in class so I don't have to do it for homework. :D

Thank you!

*agrees with Recca* -there's no point in having a resolution that you can't keep, since the whole point is to keep them :D, and 1000 a day seems like an awful lot.

Woo Tegan! :)
