I haven't posted for a while, and I still don't really have much to say, but... eh.

My library studies and information services course is going kinda well. It's difficult to say how well I'm actually doing with it, because it's only week four and we haven't had much in the way of assessments, but if I fail out of Tafe then I'm doing something wrong! Especially considering this course is mostly practical. It's just hard motivating myself to go. I have twenty-seven contact hours a week, which may not sound like all that much, but I've just come from third year uni, where I had three contact hours a week. So it's a bit of a shock to my system, to say the least.

The course - Cert III, Cert IV and a diploma - qualifies me as a library technician, which is a good place to start. I think I would actually like to be an archivist. We visited an archive, State Records, on Monday, and it was wonderful. Their records only stretch back to the early 1800s but it's still history, and I love history. Plan is to finish Cert III and then get a job in a library and finish my studies part-time.

Writing's not going too well. My excuse for that is I don't have time, but it's more a matter of not having inspiration. I need to kick myself to write more. I need Kate here to whip me into writing shape. <3

I am officially a bachelor. (Okay, it was a lame attempt at a joke, but I must confess to not actually knowing what I am.) I must remember to go to the uni sometime to collect my degree. They said three weeks from the graduation ceremony, which was August 5-ish, so I still have a ways to go.

So, yeah. That's about all. *runs off to do assignments*

Stolen from kawaii_mon. Done because I'm procrastinating...

The Big Read reckons that the average adult has only read 6 of the top 100 books they've printed. Well let's see.

1) Look at the list and bold those you have read.
2) Italicise those you intend to read.
3) Underline the books you LOVE.
4) Reprint this list in your own LJ so we can try and track down these people who've read 6 and force books upon them
5) Put a star next to those you've only partially read.

A. List seven habits/quirks/facts about yourself.
B. Tag seven people to do the same.
C. Do not tag the person who tagged you or say that you tag "whoever wants to do it."

1. I hate the feel of cotton wool. You know those little fluffy white cloud-type things? Can't touch them. Ew.
2. I always have to know the time. Always. (But I don't wear a watch.)
3. When I walk to or from town I have to make the trip in exactly the same way every time, including standing in certain places while waiting for the pedestrian lights to change. The 'to' trip is different from the 'from' trip and it stresses me if it has to change.
4. I was the only person (other than my father) who noticed when he changed the front doorknob of the Berri house, because it felt different.
5. Any English grammar I know that my father didn't teach me, I learned from French lessons in high school. (Here, have a sentence with terrible grammar.)
6. Seeing this many sentences all starting with "I" makes me twitchy.
7. I often forget that I have a brother.

I think everyone that I could tag has already been tagged, so I'm not going to tag anybody.

I have a new phone (same number). It's not as pretty and shiny as the old one, by which I mean it has fewer flashing lights (as in no flashing lights), and the screen is smaller, but it works, the battery should last more than a few hours, and it might not eat messages people are trying to send me. It was also bought with money I'm supposed to be saving for my doll, but I figured I needed a working phone more than I needed a doll. Ah well.

I've worked out why I tend not to do well in essay-style exams. It's because I get to the venue and I don't care (I'm never as stressed as i should be for exams), and during the exam I have to stop myself from making terribly informal, joke-y little comments, and I don't always catch myself. (I made myself erase "evil Roman overlords" in my exam today. I was proud of myself, but rather sad.)

I don't know. I guess I like to think the people who mark my exams have a sense of humour and don't mind students joking around a bit in their essays. Yeah... seems like they do mind that. Ah well. At least I have fun.

Well, I think the picture thing stuffed up a bit, but I'm 41% geek. Which is not much. I'm almost sad.

Well, my sister doesn't have to work tomorrow so we'll be going home on Saturday instead of Sunday. No more MSN for me for, like, EVER! How will I cope?! Aaargh!

And my father's computer has the slowest internetness EVER.

The point of this is that I will be kind of going away, slightly sooner than I had expected. I should be back on about the 3rd of January. Expect many emails from me. :D And I need someone to keep me informed. ^^

Merry Christmas to everyone! *hugs*

Playing with my journal.

I can't decide on the layout.

In other news, all my exams are over, I have all the time in the world to write, and I can't think of anything.

I want a new journal, to randomly post stories in. Mind you, I could also just post them in this one...
